We are pleased to announce that The String Bean Shelby will be opening a new location in the heart of Uptown Shelby across from the Earl Scruggs Center. We are in the midst of renovating a 15,000 square foot building that will include a market and dining on the main level and event dining space on the second floor. The new location is expected to open soon.
With the new restaurant, owners Kathy and Chad Hutcheson aim to have an open hearth kitchen, meaning meat and seafood will be cooked over an open flame to really maximize the flavor.
“We knew that we would grow and expand. We just didn’t know where,” Chad said to the Charlotte Business Journal. “There’s something brewing in Shelby. We saw what we saw in Belmont in 2008 and we decided to jump on it.”
