On December 17th, 2018, The String Bean is hosting its Annual Holiday Wine Tasting, especially fun for “wine-shoppers” looking for gift ideas or great quality and/or value wine selections to enjoy during winter holidays. This is a “drop-in” event to be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – you should plan on spending at least an hour in order to make the rounds to each distributor table and enjoy some food. This year is uniquely special as we invite you to celebrate with us recognition we just received: named as one of the “Top 11 Restaurant/Wine Shops in the U.S. for delivering stellar wine experiences through both dining room and on-site stores.” In addition to pouring many new selections, we will also pour for your wine enjoyment and experience, a good representation of 2018 Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines! And to top it off, we’ll have wines from one of North Carolina’s most respected and acclaimed wineries. All purchases will be discounted from “bottle one.” Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided. The cost will be $20 per person and can be credited back to you with purchase of 12 or more bottles (per person). Monday, February 11th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., we celebrate Valentine’s Day with an Aveniu Wine Dinner, featuring Artessa and Anna Codorniu wines among others.
Monday, March 25th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. will be the Michael Mondavi Wine Dinner with some truly great representations of Napa and other California vineyards.
